Working Holiday Visa
This stream allows you to benefit from an open work permit in Canada which allows you to work for almost any employer (some restrictions apply, ie. The medical field). This program is good for anyone wanting to experience Canada by working and traveling while not having a job offer before arriving.A non-complete list of countries that are allowed to apply include but are not limited to: Australia, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, French, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
Young Professionals
This stream allows you to obtain an employer-specific work permit to work for the same employer in the same location in Canada during your duration. The job offer must contribute to your professional development and must be a paid job. The job being offered in Canada must be classified as a national occupational classification (NOC) code still type level 0, A or B. A job under the NOC code C could be accepted under certain circumstances.
International Co-op (internship)
This stream allows you to obtain an employer-specific work permit to work for the same employer in the same location in Canada during your duration. The internship you’re offered in Canada must be directly linked to your field of studies.
- You must be a student registered at a post-secondary institution.
- You have a job offer for an internship in Canada.
- You need to complete this internship in order to complete your studies.
- You will work for the same employer in the same location during your stay.
Under its Immigration Levels Plan, Canada seeks to welcome an average of 110,000 immigrants through Express Entry each year.
Your best bet to be eligible under Express Entry is to meet the requirements of either the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
